Are you an optimist or a pessimist? When you meet a difficulty, how do you respond to it?
你是樂觀者還是悲觀者？當遇見困難時，你如何反應？
前英國首相溫斯頓•邱吉爾用了一個有趣的方式來形容樂觀和悲觀的人。他說：「樂觀者在每個困難裡看到機會；悲觀者在每個機會裡看到困難。」
樂觀者通常比悲觀者快樂些，一些科學家甚至認為樂觀者比悲觀者活得更久！幸好，我們都可以學習做個樂觀者。如果我們有一位可以依靠的對象，就更容易在每個困難中看見機會。

We put our hope in the Lord; He is our protector and our help. (Psalm 33:20)

7月19日的空英課程主題是 Love (愛)。

現今有許多人都懷疑愛能持續到永遠。世界各地的離婚率正在攀升。你認為維持一個堅固和健康關係的關鍵是什麼？愛是一種感覺嗎？愛是一種選擇嗎？
These days, so many people are skeptical that love can last forever. Divorce rates are rising all over the world. In your opinion, what is the key to keeping a relationship strong and healthy? Is love a feeling? Is love a choice?

It is hard to love our enemies, but hating them can make you miserable. If someone has hurt you and you are bitter about it, try praying for him or her. It might be easier than you think, and it might help you release some of the bitterness in your heart.
What are the characteristics of love? Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth. Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

7月5日的空英課程主題是 Beauty (美麗)。

根據世界的標準，什麼是美麗的？大部分的人試圖讓自己的外表美麗，而我們也喜歡看美麗的事物。
God made an amazingly beautiful world. He created us in His image, so we know we are beautiful in His eyes. And God wants our hearts and minds to be beautiful, too.
How clearly the sky reveals God's glory! How plainly it shows what he has done! (Psalm 19:1)
I do not judge as people judge. They look at the outward appearance, but I look at the heart.(1 Samuel 16:7b)
Even though our physical being is gradually decaying, yet our spiritual being is renewed day after day.(2 Corinthians 4:16)
Your beauty should consist of your true inner self, the ageless beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of the greatest value in God's sight.(1 Peter 3:4)

盼望是想要得到某樣東西，並且相信那個願望會實現。但有時當我們說我想要某樣東西，內心深處卻不相信那個願望會成真。
信心和盼望有什麼關連性？你曾經歷過嗎？
Let us hold on firmly to the hope we profess, because we can trust God to keep his promise. (Hebrews 10:23)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

你每天做的選擇有哪些？每個人都想做正確的抉擇。
我們可以從哪裡獲得好的忠告？如何得著智慧，做好的抉擇？
But if any of you lack wisdom, you should pray to God, who will give it to you; because God gives generously to all. (James 1:5)
You may not know this, but the freedom to make choices comes from God! In the very beginning God gave Adam and Eve a choice to obey him or not to obey Him. Today, God gives us the choice to accept Him or not to accept Him. He also gives us the choice to do what is right or to do what is wrong. You may think everything you do is right, but the Lord judges your motives(Proverbs 16:2).

快樂和喜樂有何不同？
What is the difference between happiness and joy?
Many people think joy is a reaction to something. They think we feel joyful when something good happens.
But with Jesus in your life, it is possible to have joy no matter what is happening.
Even though Paul was in prison, he still said we should rejoice.
In Philippians 4:6-7：「Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart. And God's peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus.」

5月3日的空英課程主題是 Purpose (目的)。

A famous writer once said, “Each of us is meant to be what no other can be, and do what no other can do.” (William Ellery Channing)
Do you agree? How can we be sure of our purpose in life? God has a different plan for everyone, but He wants us all to have the same purpose.
That purpose is very simple; He wants us to love Him and let Him work for good in our lives.
God has made us what we are, and in our union with Christ Jesus he has created us for a life of good deeds, which he has already prepared for us to do. (Ephesians 2:10)

4月19日的空英課程主題是 Agree to Disagree (尊重歧見)。

Arguments can often lead to positive change—if you argue correctly. There definitely is such a thing as a ‘healthy argument’. By actively listening, many arguments can be avoided altogether.
Get rid of all bitterness, passion, and anger. No more shouting or insults, no more hateful feelings of any sort. Instead, be kind and tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one another, as God has forgiven you through Christ. (Ephesians 4:31-32)
